How is a weighted grade calculated?
Each score is multiplied by its weight, those are added together, then divided by the total weight — so a 90% worth 40% of your grade counts more than a 90% worth only 10%.
What if my weights don't add up to 100%?
The calculator still works and shows a proportional result, but flags it so you can double-check — your actual course weights should generally add up to 100% for the result to represent your true final grade.
Can I add more than three grades?

Does this calculate what I need on a final exam?
Not directly — this calculates your overall grade from known scores and weights. If you want to solve for a required final exam score, you'd need to work backward from your target grade.
